A pizza maker at 15
Peter Giannakopoulos started working in pizza when he was just 15, and only two years later he opened a pizzeria of his own. Nitza's Pizza traces its beginnings to 1989, when Peter founded the business.
Nitza's Pizza is a family-owned pizza, pasta and donair restaurant on 50 Street in Leduc. Peter Giannakopoulos founded it in 1989, named it after his niece Nitza, and built it on one simple idea: everyone who comes through the door is treated like family.

The business went through a few moves and a few names before Peter settled on the one it carries today: Nitza, after his niece. In her honour, Nitza's still greets every guest the way you would greet family.
